Toronto’s newest comic shop, Little Island Comics, has announced its grand opening for October 1st.
The shop, dedicated to children’s comic books and graphic novels, opened with suitably small fanfare on September 6. Reaction by both kids and adults so far seems to be positive so we can only imagine how the big day will go over!
When: Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 –11am to 7pm
Where: Little Island Comics, 742 Bathurst Street,Toronto
Who: the Grand Opening will feature signings by cartoonists Fiona Smyth, C-Ton, Jeremy Tankard, Kean Soo and Tory Woollcott. Claudia Dávila will also launch her enviromental-themed graphic novel, Luz Sees the Light.
